How We Will Read Together
At ChapterOneEight we do not just read the Bible — we experience it. That is why we are beginning our journey in the Gospels — the foundation of everything.
The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament — Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each one was written by a different author, for a different audience, with a different perspective — but together they tell one complete story: the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
As we walk this life in faith — in hope — we have to know who we are believing in. The Gospels introduce us to Jesus — not just as a historical figure but as a living, breathing, miracle working, promise keeping Son of God. The more we know Him the more our faith — and our hope — grows. And not just grows UP — but grows DOWN.
Deep into the ground. Unshakeable. Unmovable. Impossible to uproot.
Think about the mustard seed. It is one of the smallest seeds that exists — yet it grows into one of the largest trees. But what makes it powerful is not just its height. It is the depth of its roots. Roots so deep that no storm, no wind and no force can pull it out of the ground. That is the kind of faith we are building here at ChapterOneEight.
That is why we are starting here. Not to just feel good about God — but to know Him so deeply that our faith becomes a ROOT. Something that holds us when life tries to shake us. Something that feeds us when seasons get dry. Something that cannot be moved no matter what comes.
To do this we will be using an approach called Gospel Harmony — rather than reading one Gospel at a time we will walk through all four together following the actual timeline of Jesus' life and bringing in each writer as their account aligns. Same story. Four perspectives. One complete and unshakeable picture of Jesus.
Get ready sis. Your roots are about to go DEEP.
